Design defects: Unreasonable design and layout of the punch can also cause the punch to break. For example, the slenderness ratio of the punch, the improper matching of the diameter and the die aperture, and the arrangement of the punch too dense or sparse can all cause the punch to break. ‌

Operational problems: During the operation, such as excessive stamping pressure and insufficient lubrication, the risk of punch breakage will increase. For example, excessive stamping pressure may cause the punch to deviate; insufficient lubrication will cause the punch to wear more and break easily. ‌

Other factors: also include the processing quality of the punch, assembly clearance, and maintenance of the mold. For example, if the punch processing accuracy is not high, the assembly gap is too large or too small, and the mold is not maintained in time, the punch may break during use.
